What are your most anticipated Top 5 In Development Office 365 updates?

Jake Zborowski, group product manager for Office 365 announced today at blogs.office.com, that Office 365 is exposing it’s roadmap to the public. In addition to this, Office 365 admins can switch on First Release, to “receive new qualifying feature updates first, a minimum of two weeks before customers in our standard release group.”

So, my top 5 most anticipated updates IN DEVELOPMENT are:

Codename Oslo & Office Graph

This is a great development in making Office 365 even more People Centric. In my opinion, this will greatly assist in user adoption. People will find their content easier.  They will see more relevant content and communications from the people they are connected to. What’s In It For Me will be served up in this fantastic service. Hotly, hotly anticipated.

Groups for Office 365

A close second has to be the universal groups, bringing together Team Sites, Yammer Groups and Distribution Groups. Logical, simplified and making it easier for people to connect and remain connected.

Document Collaboration in Outlook Web App

Enhanced document collaboration, attaching SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business documents directly to email. Attach a link or copy? Read an attached document, open and edit it alongside your email message.

Azure Active Directory Sync Service

Apart from Self Service Password Reset writeback to Windows Server AD, I look forward to seeing all the DirSync tools come together in a simpler interface to manage that’s easier to deploy.

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) in SharePoint Online

Helping to further prevent “the sharing of sensitive content either inside or outside an organization by automatically classifying and identifying a customer’s data at rest using deep content analysis.”
